 Mindy Aharoni, MS, OTR/L Co-Director

Mindy is a certified and licensed occupational therapist with over 25 years of experience. She received her post professional Master’s degree in occupational therapy at the University of Illinois, Chicago. She is a certified early intervention provider and evaluator for the state of Illinois. Mindy has worked with infants through young adults in a variety of settings including hospital based outpatient programs, schools, the Illinois Early Intervention System and private clinical settings.  Mindy’s commitment to providing the most effective treatment for children inspired her to form Kick Start. She currently lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her husband, three teenage children, and two dogs.

Mindy is SIPT® certified, has a certificate in DIR®/Floortime®,is a Certified Educator of Infant Massage through IMUSA, and has received extensive training in supplemental treatment approaches including NDT®, TAMO®, SOS®, Sensory Integration, Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention, Therapeutic Taping and a variety of listening programs including Therapeutic Listening®, Samonas®, AIT®, and Integrated Listening Systems®. She has extensive experience treating children with a variety of diagnoses and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team developing comprehensive treatment programs integrating the family’s priorities with the identified developmental needs of the child.

 Esther Weisz, MS, OTR/L Co-Director

Esther is a certified and licensed occupational therapist with over 10 years of experience. She received her Master’s degree in occupational therapy at the University of Illinois, Chicago. She is a certified early intervention evaluator and provider for the state of Illinois. Esther has worked with infants through school aged children in a variety of settings including hospital inpatient and outpatient, the Illinois Early Intervention System, schools and private clinics.  The formation of Kick Start is the realization of a dream to provide the highest quality, innovative treatment to children, and continued education and training for therapists. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband and three children.

Esther is SIPT® certified and has received extensive training in many treatment approaches including DIR®/Floortime®, NDT®, Therapeutic Listening®, Kinesio-taping, and Sensory Integration. She has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses as well as working closely with parents to assess and develop treatment strategies to help regulate their children and increase functional performance. Esther has worked intensely over the years collaborating with outside team members and as part of in house multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment planning for her clients and families.

 Jessica Siegman MOT, OTR/L Co-Director

Jessica is a certified and licensed occupational therapist with over 5 years of experience. She graduated from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL with a Masters in Occupational Therapy. She specializes in pediatric therapy and has experience working with children from birth to adolescence. She lives in the Northern Suburbs with her husband and two children.

Before joining Kickstart Pediatric Therapy Network, Jessica  gained a wide-range of experience working hands-on in public and private schools, pediatric sensory clinics, special education pre-schools, rehab centers and hospitals throughout the chicagoland area. Jessica is trained extensively in the DIR®/Floortime™ methodology and sensory integration. She has completed numerous continuing education courses that, along with clinical experience, have helped develop her therapeutic technique. Some of those courses include The Alert Program for Self Regulation, Handwriting without Tears® , Astronaut Training, and Core Connections. She has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses as well as working closely with parents to assess and develop treatment strategies to help regulate their children and increase functional performance.

Jessica is passionate about helping children gain the self-confidence to empower them to succeed in their home, school, and communities at large.

 Inbal Fraiman, MS, OTR/L

 Inbal is a certified and licensed occupational therapist with over 10 years of experience. She received her Master’s degree in occupational therapy at the University of Southern California. She has worked with toddlers through teens in a variety of private clinic and school settings. She has experience in the specialized area of hand therapy and rehabilitation. She currently lives with her husband and three children in the northern suburbs of Chicago.

Inbal has received extensive training in many treatment approaches including DIR®/Floortime®, NDT®, Therapeutic Listening®, and Sensory Integration. She has experience treating children with a variety of diagnoses and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team developing comprehensive treatment programs. Her approach is to treat each child as an individual, always keeping in mind their unique strengths and differences. She strongly believes in the role of family involvement, as well as collaboration with caregivers, teachers and other professionals, as integral to a child’s growth and overall success.


 Emily Fenbert, M.S., CCC-SLP/L

Emily is a certified and licensed speech and language pathologist with seven years of experience.  She received her Master’s degree in speech and language pathology from Northwestern University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Psychology and Spanish. She has worked with infants through adults in a variety of settings including: public schools, in-home, hospitals and private clinics.

Emily has received specialized training in many assessment and treatment approaches including PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), PROMPT® (PROMPTS for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), Social Thinking, SCERTS (Social Communication-Emotional Regulation-Transactional Support), and Structured Teaching. She believes in creating a nurturing environment that encourages children to explore, engage and grow. Emily enjoys working with children both in individual and group settings. 

 Hillary Rosenthal M.A., CCC-SLP/L

Hillary is a certified and licensed speech and language pathologist with over 5 years of experience. She received her Master’s degree in speech and language from Lehman College. She has worked with toddlers through high school aged children. She has practiced in private clinics, private schools, and therapeutic day schools in Kansas, Illinois and New York.  She lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her husband and two daughters.

Hillary has received specialized training in many assessment and treatment approaches including Oral Facial Myology, Fluency training, phonemic awareness, reading, apraxia. She has a special interest in working with children who stutter.




 Erika Larson, M.Ed. DT Co-Director

Erika Larson, holds a Master’s degree in Special Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Theatre Studies and is a credentialed Developmental Therapist in the state of Illinois. She has an advanced certificate in DIR/Floortime, is also a Certified PLAY Project Consultant In Training and is the Co-Founder of the National Pediatric Developmental Differences Forum.  She has been working with families for the past 15 years and is often asked to consult with parents around the topics of development, education and best parenting practices. She specializes in helping children on the autism spectrum, those with ADHD, developmental delays and general anxiety and depression. Also a mom of two precocious boys, Erika is a true “problem solver” and adores helping parents find solutions so that “every day can be a good day.”  Originally trained as an actor, Erika has taken her passion for performing and transformed it into a passion for play.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, meeting new people, eating at well-reviewed restaurants and killing it at karaoke.
